It’s simple. Repetitive. Cyclical. The symbolism is direct, decodable, deliberate.

The film cost nothing to make as it was a reaction to capture a feeling. A low humming sense of dread.

It was born out of listening, researching, grieving with voices that span from senior or junior. Creatives, Designers, Producers, Account Managers, Sales Reps, Directors, Actors and everything in-between. This collection of motifs show the fragmented anxieties of a global majority navigating a creative industry that chooses not to fix the fixable.

Systems do what they are created for.

This piece of work doesn't need to talk directly on the matters of hollow architecture when looking at difference, progress, openness. It simply says the silent bit loudly.

Those you see are faceless and used as emotive markers to humanise the feelings many would discard as fabricated, overhyped, annoying, attention seeking, deliberately destabilising.

This film is supposed to irritate you.

It’s a headache. It’s being welcomed into an empty room and told to be grateful. It’s people stepping just close enough to walk all over you. It’s code-switching. It’s dissociation. It's showing you and not seeing you. It's utilising cultures when it's fashionable. It's missing the point. It's moulding people in your image rather in theirs. It's being championed to speak up but being punished for doing so. It’s being a data point instead of an investment. A marker for relevancy rather than reality. It’s the tenacity to endure. It’s compromising. It's eggshells, weight. It's aiming for understanding and being left at stagnation. It's getting gifts from gatekeepers. It's wondering if your work is merited or DE&I. It's endless worrying, endless anticipation.

It’s stillness wrapped around inner chaos.

It’s fine.
It’s also not fine.
It’s the blatantly fucking obvious.
